A Day at the Smithsonian

A group of 4H members from Kinder Farm joined the workers and volunteers at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) in Edgewater for the annual Open House at the SERC 2009.
The 4H members took a variety of animals to display including ducks, rabbits, sheep and goats.
The SERC staff provided both breakfast and lunch and made everyone feel very welcome. 4H members were treated to boat rides, views from the 120 foot observation tower and tours of the 3000 acres establishment.
The event was a great success and the SERC staff were very appreciative of Kinder Farm Park's involvement.
