Our 4-H Club

The Kinder Park 4-H Livestock Club was organized in March of 2004. Currently we have over 40 members. Kinder Park 4-H Livestock Club is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 18 who want to learn more about livestock. The club is only accepting new members at the January and February meetings. The only cost is the $12.00 annual dues.

The $12.00 annual dues help toward the purchase of equipment for the club. Some of the equipment has been kindly donated to the club. See the equipment here.

The Kinder Park 4-H Livestock Club puts 4-H's slogan "Learn By Doing" in practice by assisting with the care of the livestock that reside at the Kinder Farm Park. The club members collect the chicken eggs and feed the chickens, turkeys , cows and sheep. Some members also own animals such as pigs, sheep and goats that live at the park. Owning an animal is not a requirement to be a 4-H member.

Our club members meet once a month on the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. October through April at Benfield Elementary School and May thorough September at a Kinder Farm Park pavilion. All meetings are limited to current club members apart from the January and February meetings.

For additional information please contact the Kinder Farm Park Office at 410-222-6115

The 4-H Pledge illustrates the meaning of the 4 H's in 4-H

I pledge my

Head - to clearer thinking, my

Heart - to greater loyalty, my

Hands - to better service, and my

Health - to better living for my club, my community, my country and my world.
